Porter's thoughts
My reply, "Ummmm, yes, I believe he does. It makes sense that he would, but the scriptures don't really tell us for sure."
Porter, "Then, how do you know?"
Me: "Well, since the whole gospel centers around families, don't you think Jesus should have a family, too?"
Porter (quiet for a minute): "Well mom, does Jesus have kids?"
Me: "Ummmmm....huh....well, the scriptures don't tell us for sure, but I believe he probably does."
Porter: "Then how do you know?"
Me: "Well, I don't know for sure. That is just one of the questions we'll have to ask when we get to heaven."
Porter: "But when we get to heaven, we'll be dead! We won't be able to ask any questions."
Me: "Well, you won't have your body, but your spirit can still talk."
Then, I reminded him of the lesson with the glove representing our body and our hand representing our spirit, and he seemed to get it. Then, he was just quiet the rest of the way home. I decided to just be quiet myself and let him ponder his thoughts....they were pretty deep and I needed to ponder them myself!
The things kids think about....amazing!

"2" cute!
Yes...that's 2 binkis in his mouth. It must be really difficult to choose, so 2 is better than one right?
And, he always has to be one of the boys...he's pretty good at holding his own.
Porter and his good buddy Cody are pretty good role models, don't ya think?
And, lastly, just one more comment. Colby and Korinne went skiing the other day (I had to stay home with the boys), and I told him to take the camera and capture a few action shots. She's getting pretty good and I wanted to have some pictures to prove it...so this is what Colby came up with....

Porter's 5!!!
Tuesday was his actual birthday...so I let him dictate our entire day! It started with a few rounds of Mario Kart on the Wii between Porter and me...or course he slaughtered me every time....why does it make me so dizzy and doesn't seem to affect the kids at all? He's always thrilled that he can beat mom. Next came a few hours at the treehouse with lunch at Arby's afterward (of course...don't the treehouse and Arby's go hand in hand?) I was ready for a nap by the time we got home...but instead I was instructed to play several rounds of Double Shot followed by a Star Wars battle where I was, as always, the bad guy (whichever one Porter wanted me to be), and I am always getting annihalated by the good guy...aka, Porter. After Colby got home, we told Porter we would go anywhere he wanted for dinner. At first, he said Maddox...we were very excited. But, then he changed his mind to...you guessed it...McDonalds! Sick! Anyway, it was his day, so we couldn't argue...so off we went to the germ fest. Oh well, he had a great birthday!
Saturday was his friend birthday party at the Dinosaur Park...that was loads of fun! 8 4 & 5 year olds running around as excited as could be...and we added loads of sugar to the mix just to make it more fun! No really...it was a good time!
Holt had to have his turn trying out Porter's new MP3 player....he wants to be just like his big brother!

Next came mine and Korinne's birthdays and Thanksgiving. Korinne and I went to lunch with my mom to celebrate our birthdays on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and we ran into a blast from the past. It's actually a pretty funny story, so ask me about it if you want to hear it!
I even caught a special visitor at our house in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve!
