!st day of summer....and already a little crazy!

What the........??? I'm not even going to ask.

Last day of school...wasn't that way back in May?!

I keep repeating myself....but how does the time fly by sooooo fast when the days sometimes can't end fast enough? How could Porter already be done with kindergarten? It's amazing how fast it really is going by. So, I do try to enjoy it...for the most part....even through all the muck....I'm trying.
Anyway, back to Porter....he absolutely loved kindergarten. When asked what he loved the most...
Friends, recess, friends, centers, friends, reading group, friends. Oh, and did we mention the FRIENDS?!!
Congratulations big guy!
Here's Stockton, Porter, Berkley, ?, and Halle. Porter and our wonderful Ms. Purdy. We'll miss her. But Holt is looking forward to when he gets to be in her class.

Lillian, Halle, Lexi, Sam, Porter, Stockton and Ms. Purdy. Cute kiddos.
Same sentiments as above for the end of 3rd grade. What?!! Now she is officially one of the "upper" grades. How did that happen? Korinne is growing too fast and I wish it wasn't so.
What did Korinne love about 3rd grade?
Friends, Mrs. Hales, times tables, cursive, and writing journal.
But, especially Mrs. Hales. We're sure going to miss her, especially since she has left our school. We were lucky enough for Korinne to have her in 1st and 3rd grade....and we couldn't have asked for a better teacher! She was fantastic!

Here, Korinne and BFF Abby are writing goodbye notes on the white board

Amathyst, Abby, Korinne, Syd, Bree, and Abby D in front. Cute girls!

And Mrs. Hales and Korinne. Thanks for another great year Mrs. Hales!!!

Can I ever catch up?

I don't know if it will be possible. There's just too much fun stuff going on in the summer and I have a really hard time finding any time to sit at the computer....or anything else for that matter. Down time?! What's that? Does anyone with kids get that, or am I the only one who feels like I am running in circles ALL. DAY. LONG.
Lazy days of summer? Pshaw!!! More like CRAZY days of summer! At least we're having a good time, right? (most of the time)
So, here's to a good thought of catching up. I'll do my best.
Someone just ran in the house soaking wet from the sprinkler.....get back outside!!!
Oh-oh. Someone else just got sand in their eyes....go get in the sprinkler...that should help!
Yeah, I'm sure I can spend some more time right here at the computer.

Eating my Words

Well, it's official now. There's no turning back. I know that I have sworn over and over that we WERE NOT adding anyone new to our family. Our family felt complete. Famous last words.

It's a girl....Korinne is ecstatic about it.

She wants to name her Sophie. Cute name. It's growing on me.

Scroll down....I may even have a picture or two.

She is pretty stinkin cute....and soooo sweet! Just look at Korinne's face. That says it all. She worked pretty hard to save $300 for this sweet baby. What a gal!
Oh wait. Did you think I meant a human baby?!! Ha Ha! Sorry to disappoint....but that one is definitely out!!! Ha- Ha!!!

Ogden Marathon 2010

We did it!! We actually finished 1 minute faster than last year....we did 1 hour and 47 minutes! And that was even with my broken tailbone! Way to go gals!
Now on to the Wasatch Back....this should be interesting!

Kindergarten program

Cute Porter in his kindergarten program. I tried to load a video clip, but it wouldn't work, so we'll just have to go with some pics.
Here's Porter and Halle...they both had these ear to ear grins through the whole thing!

Porter's best friends....Will, Jacob, Halle, Sam, and Stockton. Sweetest kids!
They did such a good job in their program. I can't believe kindergarten is over already! It seems like they just started. Now look at these big 1st graders!

Father and Sons campout.

May 7-8th was a ward father and son's campout, so Colby loaded up the boys for a fun-filled, yet FREEZING weekend. At least it didn't snow on them....but I think the temp got into the 30's! Not the best camping weather, but they survived, and had fun!
Here's Porter with some of his buddies, Sam, Jacob, and Avery. Holt and Stockton, best buds! Cute boys!
Yummy!

Porter in all his warm gear. What else, but camo?

Korinne and I stayed home in a warm house and had a girls night, which was a blast! We picked up her best friend Abby, went to the movie, went to dinner, and then got to try makeup at Sephora....one of Korinne's favorite activities! Then, we had a girls move night in our jammies and slippers...it doesn't get much better!

Dino park field trip

On May 6th, Porter's class got to go to the Dinosaur park for a field trip....we love the Dino park! It was a cold day...snow flurries...what fun for May. But, did that stop the kids from having a great time? Nope. Of course, Holt had to be there, too....wanted to be one of the big kids!
Silly boys! Don't get eaten!

The Incredible Hulk-ster!

Isn't the messy hands the best part of fingerpainting?

Korinne's state comp

Wow, I've got a month of catching up to do!
Korinne's state competition was May 1st in Heber City. She took 11th place....not too shabby! Way to go sweetheart! It was very cold...but fun. After competition was done, we spent the rest of the day in Park City going to a movie and having dinner...what a fun day!

In my lovely garden, the flowers are.....naughty?

I love the interpretation of primary songs by a 3 year old! Holt has been singing this all throughout the house all day....what a silly goose!
