What else but....Miley

So, I broke down and surprised Korinne with tickets to the Miley Cyrus concert last night. She was sooo excited! We met up with some of our friends, Abby, Taylor, and Carly, so that was fun! Right before Miley is supposed to come on stage...she can hardly stand the wait!!

I thought my head was going to burst open with all the screaming around us! Poor Miley had the flu though, so she actually ran off the stage during one of the songs. After about a 10 minute break, she was able to come back....although you could tell that her voice wasn't totally up to par!
I must say, I was kind of disappointed though. This was definitely a far cry from Hannah Montana...it's like she is trying to make a break from all of that and grow up...except I'm not really sure who she's trying to be. I was questioning "Brittany Spears" a little bit judging by some of her outfits! Hmmm.

Here she is flying above the crowd on a Harley....singing "I love Rock and Roll"...not exactly a Miley song...but it was fun anyway.

Korinne was having a great time...although she was a little more reserved than I thought she would be. She of course danced around some and sang to some of the songs...but as the concert went on, pretty soon she was just sitting and watching. At one point, I looked over at her and she was asleep!!! How?..with how loud it was? I have no idea. Poor girl, she was completely worn out!
It was a good time for the two of us....but I'm still not so sure about Miley.....

Dear Toothfairy....

Korinne lost another tooth...and felt like she needed to write a letter to the toothfairy to leave along with her tooth. Well...Miss Toothfairy was so touched that Korinne would take the time to write her a letter, that she had to wake me up and let me read it and take a picture. Then, she of course left a letter in return, plus a dollar! I reminded her that in my day, teeth were only going for a quarter!
What a sweet, toothless, girl!

Zoo!

My mom wanted to take the kids to the zoo for labor day....along with everyone else in the state! I have never seen the zoo so crowded...I felt like we were in Disney World again! But, we got to see most of the animals...and the kids had a great time! Holt loves the water ball.

Porter loved this owl because it looks like the Harry Potter owls!

I've never been able to be so close to a bald eagle....magnificent!

There were plenty of baby animals to see....sooo cute! We didn't get to see the baby elephant though...they weren't showing her to the public yet. Oh well, next time maybe!

13 years!

Our 13 year anniversary was Sept. 4th. It is hard to believe that 13 years has flown by already! They haven't always been easy, but they've been the best 13 years of my life...and I'm looking forward to many more!
Every year for our anniversary, we spend the weekend at Snowbird. There is lots of hiking to do, and it's sooo beautiful up there! Then, of course, there's the alpine slide and zip line to ride, and Oktoberfest is always going on in September, so there are fun things to see and do along with that. But most of all, we just love being able to get away for a couple of days....we love Snowbird!

Bitten by the hunting bug!

I have really neglected this blog for the whole month of September....now I have some catching up to do!

Porter has been doing a lot of hunting with Colby this month...goose hunting in Jackson, scouting for deer in Wyoming, and duck hunting in Wyoming. He has loved it...of course!

I told Porter that maybe he should start charging his uncles and grandpa for every bird he retrieves for them!

These boys get up way too early just to shoot some birds! So, why not catch a snooze in the field?
