Porter's first lost tooth!

Porter came running into my room at 1:30 this morning excitedly whispering that his tooth finally fell out! I'm surprised that it woke him up and he didn't swallow it! But, we were able to put it in a baggie and keep it safe under his pillow for the tooth fairy. He was soooo excited! He's been waiting for this day for a loooong time!
When I woke him this morning for school, he immediately popped his head off the pillow and found a dollar from the tooth fairy! Oh....happy day! And now, he gets to write his name on the tooth poster at school! Finally!! Congratulations on your first tooth loss buddy!

Haircuts anyone?

Maybe it's time for a date with the clippers? Whadya think?

Holt's 4 Birthday!

Holt has been sooooo excited for his "4 birthday" to come....he's been counting down days for longer than I can remember....so he was ecstatic when it actually, finally came! He woke, bright and early to open presents before Dad went to work. Then, his much anticipated party at McDonald's that afternoon...

Then, on to the pumpkin patch with all the cousins....

I couldn't keep the kids in the same area of the field to do pictures together, but they each found the "perfect pumpkin"!

We had to have another celebration with all the family on Sunday...wow, this birthday just never ends!

And, what a gomer I am....I forgot to take a picture of the finished birthday cake!! What?!! I've never forgotten that! Well, it was a cute "Cars" racetrack....Holt loved it! Especially because he got to keep all of the cars on top!

And on Monday, he got to take treats to school....Hooray!!
Happy Happy Birthday buddy!
4 things I love about Holt:
#1 He can melt my heart with that smile!
#2 He really knows how to keep the whole family laughing
#3 He loves to share with Korinne and Porter
#4 He loves to snuggle at bedtime
I could go on and on with this list! How could my baby be getting so big?!

Haunted Dinosaur Park

What an adventure the Haunted Dinosaur Park is....wait, it's a lot like the regular one, only it's dark outside with a lot of other SPOOKY stuff. The kids were way excited to be able to put on their costumes and trick or treat this early in the month (Oct. 8th). Iron man said he's not scared of anything...we sure couldn't talk him into going down the haunted path though....the strobe lights were just a little too much!
Love the jack o lanterns! What are these two people on the ends dressed up as?!

Fingerpainting with buddies!

We love making messses! Well, Holt does....Owen and Stockton weren't so sure, but they soon got into it!

Conference Weekend

We love Conference weekend. The kids love it because they get to spend the weekend with their cousins at the Powder Mountain condos. I love it because it's a nice break from the ordinary and I LOVE to hear the messages from our prophet and apostles. I look forward to it for 6 months...as soon as the previous conference is over! This year, my favorite message was by President Uchdorf in the Saturday morning session. It was a good reminder to me to focus on what is most important, and to slow down and enjoy the blessings I have in my life right now. You can read this message on www.lds.org .
This year, we had some little visitors outside on condo deck that were watching us watch conference...they even chatted with us a little bit. I'm sure they were begging for food, but we couldn't understand their language, so we just took pictures instead!
Porter listening closely as he colors a picture of President Monson.

I love conference packets to help keep the kids focused on listening! Of course, there are plenty of snacks involved, too.

After conference is playtime at the pool! Holt and grandpa Dave were having splash wars!

Korinne doing her thing.

Porter having a great time.
The kids needed a twilight hike before we started movie night while the daddies were gone to priesthood session. It was soooo beautiful up there....and the temperature was perfect!

Behold, the mighty hunter!

Porter is definitely his father's son! He loves to hunt with his dad. He can't wait until he's old enough to actually shoot, but for now, he's content to tag along. Holt and Finley posing with the kill....
He's getting good practice.....
