Our ward Halloween carnival is always a lot of fun...mostly because the kids get to dress up and there's always candy involved....that's extremely important to them!
Here's my boys...one evil and one a superhero. And, of course, the beautiful princessy one...

Holt, Carsen, and Stockton at the carnival.

Here's my sweet, um, scary boy.

Holt playing ring toss....this was the best way to win!

Lexi, Abby, Korinne, and Bree....cute girls!

Get well soon, Sam!

Porter's best friend, Sam, got sooo sick with the swine flu that he ended up in the PICU at Primary Children's hospital. We were worried sick about him, so a few of the other buddies came over to make get well cards for him. Well, the cards and the multiple prayers worked, because he was home from the hospital 4 days later....thankfully!
We're sooo happy you're better Sam! Can't wait for you to come play again!

Pumpkins!

Oct. 19th we went on our annual hayride through the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkins! It was soooo windy and kinda cold...but we were still able to find some good ones!

Let the carving begin!!

Holt's party

We had Holt's party on the Sunday after his birthday. He wanted a batman cake...so this is the best I could come up with on short notice. He liked it, that's all that matters.
He was soooo excited about his new Utes shirt! He wore his old one almost every day and it was getting way too small, so Chase and Amber really came through on this one! Holt tells us all the time that he is going to play football and we are going to watch him on TV. ( Has he watched too many Ute games with Colby? Hmmm...maybe.)

Happy birthday big boy!

Happy Birthday Holt!!

How could my baby be THREE already?!! Yikes!
We have had such a fun day! I always let my kids dictate the whole day on their birthday, becasue it isn't very often that they get to have much of a say in what goes on in the day, so I try to make their day special. So, Holt got to tell me what we were going to do all day...what fun!
We had to open presents first thing in the morning, of course....all the kids love that! Motorcycles and a Bat cave....what more could a guy want?! (Except for maybe the helicopter that is supposed to go with the Bat cave...maybe Grandma will come through!)
Then, off to the Treehouse with best friend, Stockton!

Then, Arby's for lunch, of course!
After the kids got home from school, we had to head off to the Dinosaur Park. Holt is telling the T-rex that he is too big to be scared of him anymore!
Halloween time is so fun at the Dinosaur Park....in the daylight, of course! No way would these kids come for the night time stuff...bummer!

Can't tell which guy is more scary?

Holt decided he was brave enough to sit by this guy...where are Korinne and Porter? Not anywhere close, that's for sure!

Have to play with all the fun Halloween stuff.

More fun with the Bat cave! Love it!!!

Yes, that's a doughnut with candles in it....that's the treat he wanted. We will have his big family party on Sunday, and then he'll get a real cake, but for tonight, this was perfect!

Happy Birthday buddy!! I love that I get to be your mom! You light up my days and keep us all laughing. We had such a great day....LOVE YOU!

Male-isms

I am convinced that those certain "male-isms" that we either find endearing or, more often, irritating, are actually, somewhat, part of the genetic make-up of males. This morning, I was in my room getting dressed after sending Korinne & Porter off to school, and Holt started yelling to me from the kitchen, "mom, I'm thirsty!" I told him, just a minute and I would get him a drink. Walked back out to the kitchen, and saw Holt, taking matters into his own hands by drinking out of the milk jug! Really?! Pretty sure none of us in this house do that, but there he was! He stopped too quickly for me to get the camera. I guess that's just what you do when you're thirsty and there's the milk within reach, duh!!

Cousin Rivalry

So, off the field, Korinne and Reagan are best buds....but on the field...well, that's another story!
They are both pretty competitive, so when they play against each other, it is pretty amusing to watch!
Korinne is #10 and Reagan is in light blue with the white headband.

Korinne keeping it out of the goal...way to go sweetie!

Korinne's team ended up winning this year, but that doesn't mean there are any hard feelings. When it's all over, they are best friends again!
Good game girls!!
